why I left Facebook

I dare you; 10 reasons you’ll never quit Facebook

Unfortunately, we don’t care about privacy politics. “I haven’t done anything illegal, so I’m not afraid of what a corporation can do with information about me”.
Whattevs, bro, I’m not going to explain ethics or moral standards to you.

Let’s get right to the core and analyze the problematics around actually quitting Facebook.

Without Facebook, how will you:

  • Know how much weight that “friend” of yours you don’t like has put on
  • Know what your ex is up to

The list goes on and ON, but it all adds up to

  • be socially completely despicable

Also, for all of us who don’t do (i.e. care about) stuff like that, how will you

  • Know where parties are
  • Remember remote friend’s birthdays
  • See the newborns of people you didn’t even know were pregnant

Let me Platon you here: Do you NEED to know all that? Isn’t it better to actually remember the birthday or pregnancy of two or three close friends, than being reminded of those of fifty acquaintances?

Furthermore, how will you now

  • See what people you never talk with are eating
  • Know what some guy you barely know is upset about
  • Get an offer to waste parts of your day (life) watching videos of lolcats, Japaneses pranking each other, reading diet tips

The answer here should be: I don’t need that. (Neither do I want it).

Your days are numbered. Spend them wisely.

How to do it.
